Sop is the abbreviation for Streaming over P2P. Sopcast is a Streaming Direct Broadcast System based on P2P. The core is the communication protocol produced by the Sopcast Team, which is named Sop://, or sop technology.
The more people that watch a particular channel at the same time the quicker the download speed will be and as a result the channels will be a lot clearer and smoother. Sopcast along with all the other P2P programs operate in this way.
Sopcast shows many live footy games and is one of the most popular P2P programs on the net. Login in as anonymous or register a free account at sopcast.com, select a channel from the list this will then open in the panel on the left.
Alternatively from our schedule pages select the 'start' link on the Football game you would like to watch this will launch Sopcast and play the selected channel

Sopcast Troubleshooting
If you are receiving the following error when trying to log into Sopcast 'Cannot access Sopcast Services'
Try uninstalling Sopcast and removing all trace of Sopcast from your PC. Then re-install the latest version.
Some people have reported that some Anti Virus programs detect Sopcast as a Trojan this is likely to be because Sopcast uses a Comms port that some AV software see as a Virus. This only occurs in the latest Version 1.1.2. Sopcast is not or does not have any viruses.
